Below are the basic entry requirements for new applicants who wish to study on any of the Welwitchia University campuses.

(i) Bachelor of Nursing Science

Bachelor of Nursing Science Requirements

 A candidate who wishes to enroll for the degree program within the Clara Barton School of Nursing, must comply with the following admission criteria:
 A candidate must be at least 18 years of age.
 A candidate must have obtained at least 25 points in Six (6) subjects according to the APS scale.
 A candidate must have obtained a minimum symbol D in English at Grade 12 level.
 Enrolled nurses with more than a year of working experience may apply with minimum 22 points and an E symbol in English at Grade 12 level.
 Candidate must pass the entry test to gain final admission

(ii) Certificate in Enrolled Nursing/Midwifery

Certificate in Enrolled Nursing/Midwifery Requirements

 A candidate who wishes to enroll for the certificate program within the Clara Barton School of Nursing, must comply with the following admission criteria:
 A candidate must be at least 18 years of age.
 A candidate must have obtained at least 22 points in Six (6) subjects according to the APS scale.
 A candidate must have obtained a minimum symbol E in English at Grade 12 level.
 Candidate must pass the entry test to gain final admission.

(iii) Diploma in Environmental Health

Requirements for the Diploma in Environmental Health Course

A candidate who wishes to enroll for the ​Diploma in Environmental Health​, must comply with the following admission criteria:

●Minimum of 23 Points in Six (6) Subjects including Mathematics & Physical Science.

●M​ust be at least 18 years of age

●Mu​st have obtained a minimum symbol E in English at Grade 12 level.

●Mu​st pass the entry test to gain final admission

(iv) Postgraduate Diploma in Community Health Nursing

Satakunta University of Applied Sciences

Engineering Programs offered by Satakunta University of Applied Sciences and are accredited in Finland and Europe.

Students for Engineering will spend time in Finland and Namibia every year and should be able to pay for airfares only.

Accommodation and meals will be provided by the Satakunta University of Applied Sciences while in Finland. Students must be able to demonstrate financial resources to fund the chosen program.

  14. Hello. I understand that the certificate in midwifery is a two year course and wondered if one could obtain a degree if two more years are added to the course?

    1. Yes, if you offer a top-up programme after your HND or Certificate degree. A Top-up degree is the equivalent to the final year of undergraduate study, giving you a Bachelor’s level qualification.

      For Grade 11 (New Curriculum), the candidate must have at least 30 points with a C or better symbol in English according to the APS scale. Read more

  23. Can I do pharmacist’s assistant with a grade 11 certificate new curriculum with 27 points in six subjects with a D in English and a B in mathematics and a C in chemistry and all Ds in physics, Oshindonga and biology?
