Welwitchia University Namibia Entry Requirements

Admission / Selection
 REQUIREMENTS
Any candidate wishing to enroll for a Diploma or Certificate within the Clara Barton Scool of Nursing, must be at least 16 years of age.A candidate wishing to enroll, must at least have a basic qualification in Nursing (e.g. Diploma in nursing or a Bachelors degree in Nursing Science).

For Certificates, the candidate must hold a post High School qualification made up of 120 credits at NQF level 5.

For Diplomas, the candidate must hold a post High School qualification made up of 240 credits at NQF level 5.

Selection will be made on the basis of merit, including any aptitude tests that might be required.

    1. Below is the Basic Certificate in Enrolled Nursing/Midwifery Admission requirements:

      Valid NSSC (National Senior Secondary Certificate) at Ordinary level or higher level.
      Minimum 22 points based on the National Evaluation Point scale in Six (6) subjects, in Grade 12
      Must have obtained an E or better symbol in English
      A pass in two (2) Science subjects (Biology, Mathematics, Physical Science, development Studies
      and Agricultural Science)
      Final admission is based on the outcome of the Aptitude Test.
      Must be a Namibian Citizen
      NB. Provision is made for applicants from most vulnerable groups as recommended by the
      Prime Minister’s Office and as per the Affirmative Action act
