Our Heritage
Chartered Insurance Brokers was founded and incorporated in 2010 under the Botswana Companies Act and was licensed by Non-Bank Financial Institution Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA) under Insurance Act (cap 46.1) of the Republic of Botswana effective from 1st March 2012. It is a 100%-owned subsidiary of BTU Business. Our products cover both short and long term insurance underwritten by a number of insurance companies. Our clients are companies, the general public and BTU members. Being a wholly-owned subsidiary of MPI, CIB already has a captive market of 22,000 Botswana Teachers Union (BTU) members.
