Objectives of this programme
This programme aims to give learners the opportunity to rewrite specific NSSC (O/H) subjects and improve their competencies to levels which will enable them to gain admission into tertiary institutions, and be able to cope with curricula demands at tertiary level.
Admission requirements
Candidates are required to submit their applications at NAMCOL’s regional and sub regional offices. The selection process will involve preliminary screening of applications and the administration of aptitude tests.

- Proof of identity ID document (Namibian ID or passport, NAMCOL learner ID,birth certificate)- please submit original documents
- Original Gr. 12 certificate for the most recent examination you sat (certified copies of documents are not acceptable)

Course Offerings
Jetu Jama: English 2nd Language, Mathematics, Biology (Ordinary and Higher), Physical Science (Ordinary and Higher), Accounting (Ordinary and Higher),
Economics (Ordinary and Higher) and Business Studies (Ordinary and Higher).
Rundu: English 2nd Language, Physical Science, Rukwangali.
Otjiwarongo: English 2nd Language, Physical Science, Biology and Mathematics (All Ordinary level).
Ongwediva: English 2nd Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physical Science, Economics, Business Studies and Accounting (All Ordinary level)
Learners who are selected for the programme,qualify for the following services:
- Orientation Workshops
- Copy of the NAMCOL Good Study Guide
- NAMCOL Study Materials
- Face-to-Face Tutorials (5 hours per week in each subject)
- Tutor-Marked Assignments
- Examination Booklets
- Self-Supervised Study Groups and Study Halls
- Study-Related Counselling/Coaching
- HIV and AIDS Programme
- Access to Services at NAMCOL Resource Centres
- Short Message Sending (SMS)
- E-Learning
- Basic Computer Skills Course
- Educational Radio Programmes.
Why learners who did field of social studies are not included to register PETE.and what if i want to change my field of study like from social to science its possible for me ro reply or nt?

Its a good course but what are those subject four targeted subject
The targeted subjects are the specific NSSC (O/H) subjects which applicants need to improve to their competencies to levels which will enable them to gain admission into tertiary institutions, and be able to cope with curricula demands at tertiary level.
This programme is aimed at preparing a select group of Grade 12 learners wishing to improve their grades in order to gain entry to the University of Namibia and the Polytechnic of Namibia, as well as other tertiary institutions in Namibia and beyond

Good school ,what if I only Failed English with an F but I passed all the other subject,,and I am interested to apply?
The minimum requirement for English is an E, you can still apply for a chance of admission. See details of the next intake which closes on 30th September 2021 here
Good afternoon! What if I have ungrade in 3 subject and f in other in grade 11 new cirricullum subject and and need to change to another subject in this Pete programme.
Candidates who wish to apply for this programme must have:
1. At least an E symbol in the four target subjects;
2. Should be prepared to write an aptitude test.
You may stand a chance of being admitted, but your chances are very slim at this point. Good luck!
