The Namibia University of Science and Technology offers Full-time (FM), Part-time (PM), Distance Education (DE), and extra-curricular courses. As of 2010 the Namibia University of Science and Technology will be enrolling more than 11000 students. The medium of instruction is English. Three hostels on campus provide a bed-capacity of 429 to both male and female full-time students. Cultural experience enriches the individual as it also gives a broader understanding of the world experience. It brings about a better sense of tolerance and an overall improved understanding of the diversity of other cultures – national and internationally. For this reason, the Namibia University of Science and Technology encourages the establishment of cultural societies on campus. The Namibia University of Science and Technology also offers a wide range of student services, and sports and recreational activities.

NSSC (H) – Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate Higher Level; NSSC (O) – Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate Ordinary Level; HIGCSE – Higher International General Certificate of Secondary Education; IGCSE –International General Certificate of Secondary Education; SC – Senior Certificate (Higher Grade & Standard Grade); NSC – National Senior Certificate (South Africa); GCE – General Certificate of Education (Advanced and Ordinary Levels); IB – International Baccalaureate Schools (Higher Levels & Standard Levels)

 

APPLICATION FOR RESUMPTION OF STUDIES

Students who previously studied at the Namibia University of Science and Technology and have gained credits towards completing their qualification, but who have interrupted their studies for a semester or longer, must apply for resumption of studies by completing the prescribed form, before they will be allowed to re-register.

POSTGRADUATE STUDIES

Prospective candidates for the degree of Master shall apply in writing for admission to the required study year.  Each application shall be considered on its merit by the Postgraduate Studies Committee.  The general requirement for admission to the degree of Master shall be a recognized four-year Bachelor degree with a research component or an equivalent qualification as approved by Senate.

 

UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES

Admission is based on completion of Grade 12 or equivalent qualification: Prospective students should have a matriculation certificate or equivalent, with a maximum of 5 qualifying subjects, which must yield a score of at least 25 points Evaluation Scale. A candidate should obtain an E symbol or better in English.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Besides the General Admission Requirements, individual Faculties and Departments may have additional or special admission requirements which will be stipulated under each qualification, under the heading “Courses offered by the Namibia University of Science and Technology.”

    1. Hello Lucas, you can apply but you should be aware of the high competition among new applicants.

      Note you are to yield a score of at least 25 points Evaluation Scale and also should obtain an E symbol or better in English.

  2. I was trying to apply online. Am in a new appilicant. I have been issued with an application number but I was never allowed to create my pin. It kept saying an error occurred contact your system management or so. What’s the way forward?

    1. Maybe you missed a step in creating the pin or there was a technical error during your application.

    1. The Namibia University of science and Technology currently (see reply date) don’t have a Pharmacy course on offer although there is a Faculty of of Health and Applied Sciences. Click here for the 2018 Year Book which contains all the courses/programmes offered by NUST.

    1. NUST offers Bachelor of Criminal Justice in Policing and there is no information on the diploma of the course at the moment. Read more on the programme here

  5. Hi, I’d like to find out what the requirements are to apply for a degree in architecture at NUST. Also, if one’s grade 12 marks weren’t enough, is a certificate or diploma from Cad 4 All enough to be accepted for the course at NUST? If so, does one have to start from the first year or can one skip certain modules which have already been covered in Cad 4 All?

    1. It is a header for an application outcome (whether you are or ain’t successful) But mostly, receiving a notification means your application was successful.
