UNAM MATURE AGE APPLICATION
You are required to upload the following certified PDF documents during online application:
- Grade 10 or Standard 8 School Certificate
- Grade 12 or Standard 10 School Certificate (School of Medicine, School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, Bachelor of Accounting (Chartered Accountancy), Bachelor of Law (Honours)
- ID or Passport
- Other previous Qualifications
- Proof of 5 years working experience

UNAM NORMAL APPLICATION

Do I qualify to pursue a dental surgery degree? Biology (3), Physical Science (3), Mathematics (C), English (E) but improved with access foundation at Unam 2013 and I scored a C symbol, Agriculture (B) and Oshindonga (3).

Admission Requirements
To apply for the BChD degree, a candidate must be enrolled in Grade 12 studying towards a NSSC certificate or in possession of a NSSC certificate or any other equivalent qualification with at least Admission Requirements
For the BChD, a candidate must be enrolled in Grade 12 studying towards a NSSC (Namibian Senior Secondary Certificate) or any other equivalent qualification with at least 35 points on the UNAM scale with a grade 2 or better on higher level or a grade B or better on ordinary level for Mathematics and Physical Sciences, and a grade B or better on ordinary level for Biology and English (please refer to the scale used by the University to calculate the UNAM score);
OR
A candidate must have successfully completed the entire first year of the BSc curriculum with at least a score of 60% in each of the Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics modules;
OR
A candidate must have successfully completed a relevant degree program in Health Science.
(“Relevant” means any degree requiring the same Grade 12 subjects as the BChD, i.e. Mathematics Higher level, Physical Science Higher level, Biology Ordinary level and English Ordinary level).
Mature Entry: Candidates aspiring for admission to the BChD through the Mature Age Entry Scheme must satisfy the following conditions:
They should be at least 25 years old on the first day of the academic year in which admission is sought
They should have successfully completed senior secondary education
They should have proof of at least five years related work experience (as determined by the School)
They should pass the prescribed Mature Age Entry Test and obtain a minimum aggregate score of 60%
Candidates, who, in the opinion of the Faculty, merit further consideration, may be called for an oral interview before the final selection is made.Continue reading

If you intend to apply as a mature applicant, then you should provide a working experience proof unless you do otherwise (applying as an undergraduate).

I have 25 points in 6 subjects. English (3) ,Oshindonga (4) , Accounting (D) ,Mathematics (C) , Economics (F) ,Business studies (G). I would like to go for Education, wat level should I apply for?
Candidates who intend to register for the B. Ed (Pre- and Lower Primary) must have obtained a “C” or better in English as per the general admission requirements as well as a “D” in any other Namibian language and a “D” in Mathematics at the
NSSC examination.
Bachelor of Education Honours requirements
Subject to Faculty Special Regulations, the normal basic requirement for entrance to undergraduate
programmes shall be an National Senior Secondary Certificate (NSSC), provided that the candidate has
passed five subjects, normally in not more than three examination sittings with a minimum of 25 points (to
be reviewed annually) on the UNAM Evaluation Scale.
The following will be taken into consideration when computing the point scores:
?the score will be calculated by adding together the points of the best five subjects only one of the five subjects must be English
should a specific subject be a prerequisite for entry to a faculty, that subject must also be
one of the five subjects counted.
