The University of Namibia graduates 26 PhD Graduands this year 2018
“The Council of the University of Namibia and Management hereby applaud all the PhD granduands of 2018. I would personally want to individually congratulate you all on your outstanding achievements, especially that you are part of a record doctorate graduates in a year that UNAM has produced – 26 PhD graduates!
The bearing of your study of learning has implications of local, regional and global proportions. A PhD is the study by logical reasoning of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality and existence. This is the most advanced stage of learning known to man. Dreams can be achieved by focusing on the end in mind, and not allowing mediocrity
and obstacles to stand in your way. Your graduation today marks the consequence of your determination and hard work you have undertaken as a student. I, therefore, encourage you to look at our new PhD granduands and realise nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it. These are ordinary men and women facing challenges like anyone else, but besides those obstacles, have shown courage by achieving their dreams.
Our grandaunts today, have demonstrated that it is possible to attain your goals as long as you stay focused and determined. The University of Namibia remains committed to develop the human capital of the global village, but in particular Namibia across all discipline.”
