(i) Bachelor of Nursing Science – 4 Years Full time

Requirements

A candidate who wishes to enroll for the degree program within the Clara Barton School of Nursing, must comply with the following admission criteria:

• Must have obtained at least 25 points in Six (6) subjects and a D in English according to the APS scale.
• Must have at least two science subjects (Mathematics, Physical Science, Development Studies) including Biology
• Enrolled nurses with more than a year of working experience may apply with minimum 22 points and an E symbol in English at Grade 12 level.
• Must pass the entry test to gain final admission

(ii) Certificate in Enrolled Nursing/Midwifery – 2 Years Full time

Requirements

A candidate who wishes to enroll for the certificate program within the Clara Barton School of Nursing, must comply with the following admission criteria:

• Must have obtained at least 22 points in Six (6) subjects and an E in English according to the APS scale.
• Must pass the entry test to gain final admission.

Requirements

• Minimum of 23 Points in Six (6) Subjects, (Mathematics & Physical Science is a must).
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have obtained a minimum symbol E in English at Grade 12 level.
• Must pass the entry test to gain final admission

(iv) Postgraduate Diploma in Community Health Nursing – 1 Year Full time/part time

Requirements

All applicants should comply with the criteria as indicated:

• A registered General Nurse and Midwife
• Should be registered with HPCNA
• Have worked at least for one or more year(s) after basic general nurse training
• Write a one page motivational submission for taking the course

  2. Although there is no application fee, a non-refundable N$230 Application fee is payable into any of our bank accounts.

  4. Depending on your field of study, some fields may not be applicable to you. The fields that are compulsory for all prospective students are marked with an asterix (*).

    1. The minimum grade is an E in English if you want to be enrolled in a Pharmacist’s Assistant Certificate or Certificate in Enrolled Nursing. You can apply but note admissions are based on merits. Good luck with your application!

    1. All bursary holders are allowed to register without paying the registration fee. Contact the management for clarification using the contact details above.

    1. Yes Veron, you qualify for a Certificate in Enrolled Nursing/Midwifery admission but applications has been closed for Certificate programmes. Visit the main campus for a possible late admission.

      Note there are no guarantees of late admission. Good luck!

    1. The fee must be paid before the due date given and don’t be scared of the aptitude test, they are simple to answer. Good luck!

    I applied to WU in 2019 and instead of going to Kombat WU (which I chose) , my name was on the list for Nkurenkuru WU. I didn’t have registration money then and so this year I paid the full registration fee and registered online. I never got a reply from the university. What I would like to ask is,when registration is for September 2020, so I go clarify my situation?

Hi, I received an sms from welwitchia admition that i qualified for the aptitude test and i should pay $150 and send the receipt by email or text with my full name, id number ad cell number and i will be informed when to take the test,well I paid the $150 ad i send the reciept by email BUT I didn’t receive any text …………..does that mean that they didn’t get my email?

      1. Don’t worry Cecilia, you will be notified on when to come for the test. The dates for the test will be relayed in due course.

    1. The documents needed for first-time applicants are proof of your grade 12 certificate, national ID, proof of your application fee payment, other documents may be required for your application to be successful. See more details here
